Everyone knows that when life hands you lemons you make lemonade right? Well what do you do when life hands you a late snowfall when you are really tired of snow? You make photographs!

Yes I know, everyone is tired of snow.  But you have to admit, this was a really pretty snow. This was the really heavy wet snow that sticks to the trees like left over ham and beans sticks to your ribs (thanks Mom!).

This was also the good kind of snow in that it was melting off really fast this morning, I almost missed out on the great photographic opportunity this late storm provided.

I wasn’t really sure where to go this morning so I ended up wandering through the Outlet Park below the dam at Tuttle Creek Lake and then driving over to Wildflower Road near Carnahan Creek on Tuttle Creek Lake. I’m glad I did, the views were amazing.

And to top it all off, at my last stop before heading back home I got to see a herd of 10 or so deer out enjoying the snow.

I don’t really like lemonade (no offense to the lemonade industry, nothing personal!) so I’m glad life didn’t hand me any lemons today.  At this point in the year I’d have to say I’m not really fond of snow anymore either (wait until July though, I’ll be wanting snow really bad!), but all in all this was a beautiful snow and I’m glad I got the chance to get out and enjoy. Hope you did too!
